Starting with the exterior, there’s quite a bit going on here. The house has a slightly raised floor which gives it this lightweight, floating vibe. It also has a slanted roof which is not just for the looks but also serves as practical purpose. The exterior walls feature a mix of vertical and horizontal siding for added texture and they’re painted in shades of grey. There’s also a big deck attached to the front of the house which is not something you usually see when it comes to tiny homes.

Tiny houses are the most inspiring in terms of design because the less space you have to work with the more inventive and original you have to be. There’s a lot of thought that goes into designing a tiny house. Architects and designers are always coming up with great idea for how to optimize them. One of the latest projects in this sphere is a little house in Melbourne, Florida which is called Boehm. It was designed and built by studio Movable Roots.
The entrance is marked by a pair of French doors that let in natural light and it leads straight into the living area. This is where you can find a couch raised on a storage platform with built-in drawers underneath. There’s also a slide-out dog bed that gives loyal companions a comfortable place to sit and sleep on. The kitchen is small but well-designed, with a full-size refrigerator, plenty of storage spaces and a washer/dryer which marks the transition into the bathroom.
Although the house only measures 265 square feet, somehow it has two bedrooms. The main one has a Murphy bed surrounded by storage cabinetry, a fold-down desk and two sliding barn doors. The guest bedroom is actually a loft space which is where the slanted roof comes into play. It’s small but nice and cozy and very convenient. Other that that, there’s also a bathroom with a walk-shower, also accessible through a sliding barn door. In the main area a couple of pull-out tables create a casual dining setup whenever needed. There’s also plenty of other clever features hidden throughout this tiny house just waiting to be discovered.
