Among the many attractions that you can find in Orlando, one of the best ones is the House of Holidays. Located in the Downtown Disney area, this attraction is perfect for family entertainment. You can get a glimpse of the life of Christmas through a variety of ornaments, figurines, and other decorations.

Collectible miniatures

During the early 1900s, collectible mini villages were made of cardboard or plastic. Some of the villages were marketed as candy containers, while others were meant to be display items for toy trains. These buildings were also meant to simulate churches, fire stations, post offices, and dry goods stores. Each building had a special light, which gave the impression that each building was occupied.

The collectible mini villages became popular during the holiday fairs that were held throughout Europe. These fairs allowed shoppers to buy special holiday foods and gifts. Collectible makers were able to sell entire villages for only 69 cents each. Many of these miniature buildings were made from a variety of materials, including cardboard, lithographic tin, plastic, and mylar. Some buildings were even designed to double as toy train tableaus.

If you are interested in collecting miniature holiday villages, it is important to consider the condition of each building. If the buildings are in good condition, they are worth more. If they are in poor condition, the buildings may not be worth as much.
