This little container studio is, as mentioned before, made from two repurposed containers which are placed side by side. You can clearly see the line between them thanks to the color palette chosen for the interior which differentiates between a green module and an orange and blue one. Despite being tiny inside, the studio has access to a large open deck and this helps a lot to make it feel more open and spacious overall.
The first stage of the project was the most complicated and time-consuming one. It involved actually designing and building a small modular structure out of two repurposed shipping containers. It was all done in time for the studio to be part of the Casacor Minas 2021 exhibition.

This lovely little studio home measures only 30 square meters across but the small size doesn’t stop it from being amazing. The design done by the Plano Livre team is a very clever one with a lot of potential for future modifications and additions to be made to it. Completed in 2021, the Estúdio Lapinha project was done in two stages.
The second stage of the project took place after the event. The team disassembled the whole structure and moved it to its permanent location in Lapinha de Serra where it was meant to serve as a home. The simple and modular nature of the design makes this a very versatile type of structure, one that can be expanded and replicated in order to create custom designs and experiences.
