How to Choose Climbers Plants

Climbers are an excellent way to cover fences, walls and bare spots in your garden. They also brighten up small spaces. Choose your climbers carefully. Some grow to just head height, while others can reach the height of the roof. Also, take into account pruning requirements. If you plan to grow them to their full height, you should plan for the necessary maintenance.

Moon flower

Moon flower for climbers is an easy plant to grow from seed. These flowering climbers prefer moist soil. Without regular watering, they will wilt, but a quick soaking will bring them back to life. Potted moonflowers should also be fertilized regularly. A fertilizer rich in phosphorus will help the flower to bloom. A high nitrogen fertilizer will result in big green plants with fewer flowers.

Moonflowers are best planted in a well-drained soil that is evenly moist. They can tolerate a short period of drought but long dry spells can cause them to die off. Make sure to check the soil moisture level each week.
